# Kaikoura Memorial Community Hall

> We've been booking out the Memorial Hall for weddings, birthdays, meetings and tangi for as long as most people in town can remember. It's run by a small committee of locals, so if you've got questions just ring and someone will pick up.

Based in 14 Churchill Street, Kaikoura.

- **Main Hall** — $30 / $45. The full hall with stage, for anything from a wedding to a wrestling match
- **Supper Room** — $18 / $28. Adjoins the main hall, good for catering or a quieter side event
- **Meeting Room** — $12 / $20. Small room off the foyer, seats twelve around the table

## Licences and memberships

- **Tables and chairs** Trestle tables and stacking chairs for the full capacity, stored in the side room
- **Zip** Wall-mounted zip in the kitchen for tea and coffee
- **Dishwasher** Commercial dishwasher, does a rack in about three minutes
- **Oven** Domestic four-burner oven, fine for warming food, not for a full cook-up
- **PA** Small PA system with two handheld mics and an aux cable for music

## What we treat

- **Bond** $200, refunded within a week if the hall's left clean and nothing's broken
- **Curfew** Music off by 11pm, hall cleared and locked by midnight

## About

The hall's owned by the community and looked after by a committee of volunteers who meet once a month. Booking fees go straight back into upkeep, which is why the roof doesn't leak anymore and the kitchen got a new dishwasher last year.
